Benefits of learning one German word a day

It may not seem like a lot, but one word a day adds up. If you take into consideration that only 500 words are needed to communicate on an A1 level, a year worth of words of the day will be a significant boost to your vocabulary. Moreover, it is an easy way to expand your vocabulary quickly, efficiently & effortlessly.

How many German words do you need to know for A1 level?

For the telc A1 exam you will be expected to reach the German language level A1. The number of base words that you will need for this level is approximately 500 words. This means that after one year you will have learned 365 new words, which leaves you only 135 words away from your goal!

Word of the day

To help you expand your vocabulary every day and reach your A1 level as quickly as possible, I’m creating the word of the day. On my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feed I will post one word of the day each day. All words will be taken from the official word list for A1 level German. Click here to reach my official Facebook page and get started right away!

One important side note: I will list all the nouns with their respective article (der, die or das). As German articles carry different nouns, that do not always follow rules or a certain logic, it is best to learn the article together with the noun.
